Canada Ranks the Star Trek Movies!

Space, the Canadian equilivant to the Sci-Fi Channel in the US, is having a Star Trek movie marathon (just the first 6 with the original crew). They are playing them in order, from worse to best, through out the day today. For those who aren't in the know today is the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday (and what sums up Thanksgiving Day better than Star Trek? ).

The order so far is

Star Trek I (worse)
Star Trek V (edit - it just started)

That's all! (hey, it's really early in the am ). So how about you? How would you rank the Star Trek movies? (remember first 6 only - let's not throw 'generation wars' into this). Or, alternately try and guess how Space has them ranked (they are based on a vote they took on their web site so no fair if you go there to peek!). My choices are

I notice both Ankh-Morpork Guard and Celtavian have nearly identical rankings to me, as well. I am torn on 4 & 6 - they could go either way since I like both - but I dig whales so...

7. Star Trek X - Nemesis

I'm surprised you rank Nemesis so high. I hated it, but that could be because I felt that they ended the Next Gen line much, much too soon, and I wasn't pleased with the ending.

I thought that the whole battling against a ship that can fire while cloaked schtick has already been done, and in a better movie (in my opinion). Not thrilled with Data biting it either.

It seemed senseless.
