CHAOS MAGIC?

ok, so i just picked up chaos magic from mongoose publishing (freaking love it). perhaps i am missing something but i can't figure out how to set the save DC for the spells. is it the same as the casting check DC? even if you could give me page numbers that i am not reading properly that would be great.

Is Chaos Magic worth it? Is it just for Wizards and Sorcerers? Or can Clerics, Bards, Rangers, Paladins, and Druids benefit from it too?

Is Chaos Magic worth it?

Chaos Magic is pretty cool, but I can tell you this much: It has no business in a game that uses standard magic, or even psionics. It doesn't fit at all. There are just too many parts of the system that completely break down. I won't bother going into it because it's really not worth it, as I wasn't too impressed with it. If used alone, it works pretty well.

I think it works well. It's designed to take the place of the Wizard. It's more powerful at the lower levels and weaker at higher levels. I've found it makes fora great NPC that the PCs are clueless to dealwith because the magic is so random.
