You get to control whether the GMs can add to your back story or weave it into the plot line of the adventure they are building. As an example:

Open: This allows a GM to maybe name the merchant that you escorted to Venza as well as have that merchant be the NPC that has a "another job" for you to do. Or maybe that merchant was kidnapped and needs rescuing.

Closed: The GM doesn't get to use the merchant when writing his base plot line for the adventure.

My mermaid merchant's daughter who ran away from home has "Ask" for the field instead of "Open" or "Closed". If someone has a good story idea, I might go with it.

In general terms, LPF has a shared history so we try to maintain continuity in the characters and npcs while giving the players as much control as they want over their own PCs.

Tweaked a couple of things I missed originally. Pretty sure everything is done on there now.

Having some trouble with my account on Wikia, waiting to hear back from support. Forgotten password link isn't working, so I might end up having to make a new account on there.

Hey guys I'm just letting you know that I'm still very much interested in getting a character into play but I had a death in the family this week so I haven't been around much. I'll finish up Tor tomorrow with a full deamenor, apearance, and background.

Reviewing Tor:
a) With a dagger, light weapon, you only get STR to damage, not STR*1.5. Fixed.
b) An 8 charisma gives only a -1 penalty. You had carried -2 throughout. Fixed.
c) minor other formatting tweaks.

Suggestions:
a) moving a point from Kn Dungeoneering to Profession Sailor seems more appropriate for your background.
b) You haven't picked any archetypes. That is fine. But, archetypes should be declared at first level. Even though you don't get abilities from them until later, they can have an impact at first level. Skirmisher is one of those. It blocks your use of wands. But the combat bonuses later are nice.

Tor is APPROVED for play. Once I have noticed him in the DWI, I will update the First Seen and Location fields to stuff in the URLs.

I'm going with a vanilla ranger. Also thank you for making those changes and the last approval.

I'll take the advice on the profession and changed it.

Tweaked a couple of things I missed originally. Pretty sure everything is done on there now.

Fixed a few things here and there. AC was off, Will save was off, various ability modifiers were missing in the skill section (although the totals were correct).

NOT YET.


Needs to be fixed:
1. You need to specify whether your favored class bonus is +1 HP or +1 skill point.

Suggestions:
1. Dumpstatting Str is a brave choice. While ninjas get ki out of Charisma, I think you might find dropping Cha to 14 and redistributing those 5 extra points might serve you better.
2. You don't have a ranged weapon. A sling or even some shurikens would be helpful. In the same vein, I think you could drop to the cheaper lockpicks and pick up some basic traveling equipment, like some rations, or maybe a crossbow.
3. In your skill section, it's nice to break out bonuses like the +2 from the MWK lockpicks. And given you're Small, it might be nice to break out an Intimidate vs. medium creaures, which I think is at -4. Depends on how often you're planning on using it, I suppose.
4. Goblin language stops being useful around level 2, maybe 3.
