City of the Spider~Queen (IC)

"Though i do not require any, will there be a bounty on th heads of these dark elves? I do know many people in my homelands who are in dire need of food and refuge, and the money will be greatly appreciated by them..."

"Also, Mi'lord, when would u like us to set out on this great quest, that is, assuming Mr. Tunderfoot has no one else to quarrel with...?"
Andrinor smirks at Cain in a taunting manner.

"Ye'd do well to mind yer tongues, all of ya!" Cain replies angrily. "I dinna know why ya wants these elves and such along, but I guess I'll hafta be their minder."

Cain stalks off, awaiting the human lord's response.

OOC: Cain has CHA 6, so please don't think I'm a jerk or something :)

"Please, listen to what I say for a moment. I know of two raids. Fifteen to twenty farmers have been killed, and their houses have been left mostly intact. No captives were taken, the drow just seemed bent on mindless slaughter, which I find disturbing. Perhaps a dozen drow on foot were responsible for the slaughters."

"The crypts are rumoured to be haunted, and folk nearby give the place a wide berth, but i've never looked into it. No trouble's come from there before. I would round up some companions and go myself, but I have too many duties here."

"I trust Gais'forth. he has served the Dale well for many years. We cannot afford you to be squabbling. If you need to, take the time to gather supplies, but i would rather you depart quickly, before another raid."

OODM: Good RP'ing Insight, nice to see a low cha who acts it :)
shaff, the colour you're using for text is a tad hard to read.

"Hmph, well if ya thinks ya can trust these types," Cain replies. "Count me in. Like I said, someone will need ta watch over them, ta make sure they dinna get killed and turned inna Drow food."

"Let us leave now," Cain suggests. "The Drow must pay for their evil! I've dealt with them before, an' I'll waste no time in doin' it again!"

"But ye'd best watch yerself," Cain cautions. "These Drow are tough. Don't let their frail looks deceive ya. They gots lotsa magic and canna be affected by magic most times."

He turns to Astaldo. "Now, as fer what the Drow might be up to, who knows? I say wipe 'em out and ya got nuthin' ta worry about!"

ok, ill try to find a new color, but all the good 1's were taken, lol.

Gais'forth tries to think back about any tales or stories he might have heard about the crypts and their surrondings and what the locality is like (Forest, Hilly, Fields?) and whether there is a road nearby.

OOC: That's me asking for Knowledge - Dalelands and Bardic knowledge checks.

IC: "Hmm, just about every mysterious place is suppossed to be connected to the Underdark. It might be, it might not. Could be some surface Drow just using it as a base, or not. Could be that they are just testing our defences to see how we respond. Do we wish to go in and get them or wait outside and ambush them when they leave next?"

"In either event I can leave almost immediately if necessary, I have some rations to pick up but that will take me only a few minutes."

"I am ready to leave whenever Milord wishes, i brought all i will need from my home, predicting this would be some sort of adventure."

The History of Doriden

The hold of Duriden was founded in the shadow of the Desertsmouth mountains by a Jhaamdathan noble who lead his people north from the coasts of Sembia in the year -251 DR. He and his folk were survivors of the calamitous destruction of Jhaamdath in -255 DR.
On the western slope of the Dagger Hills, the Doriden lords raised a sizeable keep, which guarded a large and prosperous town nearby. The realm flourished for a century or so then failed, weakened by orc raids from the mountains and the decline of the ruling family. Most of its folks drifted back to the more prosperous lands near the Sea of Fallen Stars, and the town was abandoned by -75 DR.
Very little is left to indicate that any human settlement existed in the region prior to the rise of the Dalesfolk, hundreds of years later. The weathered foundations of Doriden Keep lie on a barren hilltop 2 miles south of its crypts. The remnants of fieldstone walls and the skeletal shells of old farmhouses dot the nearby valley. The ruins of the town lie near the foot of where the keep stands. These remanents cnonsist of little more than a handful of crumbling walls overgrown with briars and bush. Adventurers have explored the remains of both the keep and the town many times and found little of note.

Accessability

The crypts lie 10 miles south of Dagger Falls, and is accessable by road and trail. It is lightly forested, with serveral farms dotting the landscape.
