Commading Undead

When an evil Cleric commands undead, now long does that last? Is the effects of commanding undead permanent until the undead ahhh, re-die?

It mentions that it is a Standard Action to give mental commands to the undead. It even mentions that you can command higher hit dice undead but you must constantly concentrate on them. But nothing is said as far as the duration on the commanding effects...

As far as I know, it is permanant until the undead in question is destroyed, commanded by another, or released by the cleric, either voluntarily or as the result of further controlling. After all, it is supposed to be the negative energy analog to destroying undead, and destroyed undead don't become undestroyed after a length of time.

I believe the command time is permanent until the undead are destroyed, slain, or released by the evil cleric, etc.

Remember though, you can only command a number of undead whose total HD do not exceed your level (or you can alternately command a single undead whose HD is higher than your level by concentrating [as casting a spell] and can command no other undead at the same time).

I agree. While rebuking or bolstering lasts 1 minute, as turning undead, commanding is permanent until the undead are destroyed or dismissed. Duration is therefore not a problem, which instead the number of controlled undead at a time is.
