Cooperative Spell?

Cheiromancer

Adventurer
Tome and Blood, page 39.

If I cast fireball cooperatively with another wizard, is there two fireballs, or just one?

If just one, who makes decisions like range and direction? How many hit dice damage does the fireball do? It says that for purposes of caster level checks, use the better caster level as the base, but it doesn't say what to do with level dependent effects? If the spell is a charm, who does the target think is his friend?

I'm inclined to think (despite the wording of the example) that each spell goes off, but in a more effective manner.

Any insights on this?

Hmm. If BOTH spells went off, it would be an alright feat (with the reading that only one happens, I've always thought it sucked)

I'd say use the best case for all variables. I can't really think of when that wouldn't simply be the highest caster level, but there you are.
