If death was really evil, what would your Paladin do with his shiny sword?

Cheers, -- N
Hug evildoers into submission and send them to therapy to help them get over their wicked ways that are no doubt caused by poor upbringing or childhood trauma.

You know, just like some people expect paladins to do nowadays. :p

Personally, I think LN (or even N) is ideal for a Death deity.

Agreed which is why I think in Scarred Lands deity survivor, Nemorga would win out. :D

Nifft,

He's put that shiny sword right up Asmodeus' rear end! ;)

Chup,

The motivation for a N cleric of Nemorga is to ensure ALL get a) proper burials and b) lay to rest unrestful souls. Or at least make sure they stop bothering the living.

Sejs,

You obviously having seen many Scarred Lands paladins huh?

What, no hate for *boring* goody two-shoes Heironeous, after all the hate on interesting goody two-shoes St. Cuthbert?

QFT

Oh well, slaughter-king's gone, and while I liked Boccob (you know, sort of), at least it looks like Gruumish is about to bite it, without needing my help. He's basically to Corellon what Yoko Ohno was to the Beatles, so w/o the host, the parasite must die! This is awesome! After ~3 rounds of voting for the dumb green giant, I can finally direct all my hatred to Moradin without anymore distractions!

Me: Listen, I'm sure where you're from, you're considered a giant.
Moradin: ?
Me: But! Take this message back to your people. *raises foot to stomping height*

I always liked the idea of a strictly Neutral death diety. Like nature, death should be indifferent to good and evil, as well as ethical or moral outlooks. While death may seem like an evil thing, I'm reminded of an old episode of either Hercules or Xena (forget which, they meld in my head) where death is captured and no one can be sent to the underworld. Without death to release people from injuries and disease that SHOULD have killed them, horrific suffering and pain was the result. Death can also be a release, even granting "freedom" perhaps, depending on your view of the afterlife. The only creatures death should ever be "against" are those that try to cheat it.

Yay, getting rid of racial deities!

Well, it's just that I hate gruumish as a diety, and dwarves as a race. I had no problem with the elven and gnomish dieties, but they were gone before I knew this poll existed!

Stream,

You and I have pretty much the same ideal when it comes to death gods/deities of the dead.
Evil ones should be about unnatural causes. Neutral ones should be about natural ones.
