D&D 3.5 Homebrew: Paths of Legend Vol 1: Tragedy at Silvergard

Define "most." If your PHB and MM are 3.5, you'll be just fine. If your MM isn't 3.5, that will still be ok, because I'll be providing you with the revised monster class progression from Savage Species. If your PHB isn't 3.5...that's a problem.

edit:Oh, so all I'd really need to buy would be a new PHB? I think I can swing that if it is really important.

Ok, I used an online java generator that uses 3.5 rules, since I dont have access to those books currently. I didn't realize the str bonus was so high, I may redistribute points again to give him some more skills... Consider this a very rough draft of the mechanics side of Aodhan:

Yep. The Hypertext d20 SRD has what you'll need to make a 3.5 character, Ytterman.

Also: For reference, the 3.0 DMG has the same ability score point-buy rules as the 3.5 DMG. So if you're not sure what crystalpixie means by point-buy, the 3.0 DMG's character chapter has the same point-buy rules.

Thanks fellas, Im checking out that resource now. Though Ill probably need to wait for cp's centaur progression chart to really do any more.

Helfdan, good to see a Tureni and great to hear that you will be for ever obedient to my every whims!!

More seriously, I have orignated Johen from the Duchy of Gwynloc'h (which I created since the DM hasn't developed Turen too much). Do you want to originate from there as well and do you want us to know each other?

Also do you have a reason for leaving Turen?
I was thinking that maybe you could have been sent by the Archdruid to follow me/hunt me down/bring me back since my sudden disappearance. That could generate some interesting roleplay... ;)

Valen hails from fallen Aranost, thus is he driven to protect his people... but as a neophyte homeless ranger, dedicated to the service, we could say he had been assigned to Gwynloc'h for a while, and there met Johen

I HAD been thinking along these lines. Goes to show great minds think alike, even when they are wrong ;) After completeing his training, Valen worked as caravan guide and bounty hunter (having no home province to patrol, he would naturally be assigned these more far-travelling missions). Perhaps, when the druidic circle learned he was guiding a caravan down into Azgund, he was asked to keep an eye out for a certain wayward druid... Rather than ordered to bring him back, I would think the circle would have the ranger find out what happene, etc... sounds cool to me.

Yttermayn: Attached you will find my revision of the Savage Species centaur monster class. Any questions, comments, or glaring errors, please let me know.

Amaury and Helfdan: Let me know how much you two want to tie your backgrounds together. Such links make my job easier when it comes to the "ok, so you all meet at the tavern and decide to adventure together" part of the campaign. ;)

Helfdan, Johen did not warn anyone he was going to Azgund. He just left. So Valen may need to be requested more specifically to find out about him rather than convoying a caravan.
Valen's tracking skills then did the rest and brought him to Azgund (along with a caravan or not).

Otherwise, I'd suggest Valen and Johen have seen each other, maybe at a seasonal festival or something in Gwynloc'h, where Johen would be the assistant to a ceremony that Valen happened to attend. So Valen could recognize Johen on sight. Might not be the case for Johen who may recall Valen's face but vaguely.

It then gives you all leasure to decide how you want Valen to introduce himself to Johen when he finally finds him... Johen would be easy to spot especially when doing his little show with his hawk to earn a few coppers in the town square.

What do you say?
