To answer issues Arkhandus raised in his rant, Renard will spend a move action getting himself positioned to use his bow again, so he can't rapid shot this round.

Also, I'll have to look at the ToB (I'm afb right now) to see if martial strikes are a standard action or if they're an attack action. I'm inclined to rule that you can fight defensively while using a martial strike, though.

Finally, with Hollister's web it's unlikely Liiros will get charged this round. And web may not be fire, but it does burn really well.

It really was quite a rant! I enjoyed reading it!

I just looked it up., and they are standard actions.

I must admit, that thought did dawn on me. :D

Yeah, I know Strikes are standard or full-round actions, not attack or full-attack actions. Just wasn't sure from the wording of the fighting defensively option whether or not it would apply with Strikes, since the ToB is a bit unclear.

I'd say no, since both Fighting Defensively and Martial Strikes are standard actions. But I'm not the DM here. :)

I've decided that you can't fight defensively and activate a martial strike at the same time. If you can somehow activate a strike one round and then the next round make an attack, you can fight defensively in the round you just make an attack.

Hey all I've been thinking things over and I'd like to gracefully withdraw from this game. Nothing to do with any issues per se, just not digging 3.xe, I guess I'm more firmly entrenched in 4e and really prefer that system. I'll stick around until you can write me out pneumatik. korrin might decide he's best served by sneaking back into the city to aid the Resistance against the Ragesians directly.

Family emergency

I just wanted to let everyone know I had a family emergency come up and it's unlikely I'll post for the next week or two. When I can post again we'll look into picking up the game again.
