Q: Will you be allowing the Leadership feat?

If not, no problem, just wondering. Some DM's don't like it.

If So, then how're we working it? Do we figure out our leadership score and create our own Cohort, do u do it, some combination thereof, or what?

Also, I'm not familiar enough with the new rules yet to make a good artillery battery, OR a dragonmage, so I'll be going with a straight up melee guy.

So we've got our close-combat guy. OH, and since this is a test, I'm going to do my utmost to break the system with him. ;) hehe.

Sure! If it's in any of the books mentioned it's OK. As far as followers go, since you recently lost your entire help staff, you start with none. That is not to say that you can't attract one or more in game.

Would that include cohorts that I'ld have to attract? I was thinking of making the cohort my characters 'romantic interest', but if I have to attract a new one, then I guess I'll do something else with it.

And yes, I'll only be using PHB/DMG/MM 3.5

Working him up now.

Would you allow monster races? (Nothing with a huge Lvl adjustement, just +1 or 2)

Appearance:

Ghannellis is a wild elf of average height but a stocky, human-like build. His features are harsh and angular, but a smile comes easily to his lips. He has olive skin tattooed with the hunters marks of his clan and his long black hair falls in plaids weaved around feathers, bones, jewels and carved wooden fetishes. When girding himself for the hunt or battle he wears the pelt of a great stag, horned head atop his own to signify his right to hunt and traces streams of blood from his eyes to mourn the death of his quarry.

Background:

Ghannellis grew up in the Cish forest as a hunter in a small wild elf clan. The great trunks of the Silveroaks of Cish were a constsant draw to the human loggers of nearby cities and the hunters of the clan had a dual role as guardians of the oaks. For many years Ghannellis viewed humans on less than favourable terms until he had the opportunity to visit human lands as an armed escort for negototiations on the forest. Realisation was like a slap in the face, although he loved his homeland, he had never seen the world - its ugliness or its beauty. So followed many years of travel and adventuring, and an understanding and later friendships with humans.

Ghannellis is generally good natured though ruled by his passions at times. Years amongst humans has given him an open, jovial demeanor. However, Ghannellis found that the years of adventuring kindled in him a wild fire for battle and deepneed his hatred for despoilers of nature. After the defeat of the dragon of the Everglades, Ghannellis was only too happy to settle and appoint himself as the protector of the swamp, a place he has come to love with an even greater passion than his home forests of Cish.

What monster were you thinking of, Jemal?

Great, except the maximum level of your cohort is 12. Cohorts must be 2 or more levels lower then the character regardless of leadership score.
