Considering the lawsuit, the phrasing in that which can at best be described as them awkwardly accusing WoTC for "virtue signalling" while at the same time saying all others who've worked on Dragonlance doesn't really matter, and the 60 pages of sensitivity revision in the first new DL book — which I'm sure had some back and forth about which revisions needed to be done and why from both parties — I'm not sure I'd invite them to consult either. And that's not even taking their social media into consideration.

Apologies if someone else has already posted this about the Dragonlance material.

did anyone ask what they meant by magicaL? Did they think they were not going to be changed at all? did they not want them to have spell like abilities? do they not want them to be able to be wizards>/Sorcerer/Warlocks?

As it stands, the only thing of interest to me is WotC explaining how putting everything in the Astral Sea/Plane doesn't lead to various pantheons simply wiping each other out.
Probably because, in lore wise, the gods don't want to deal with the headache of another Dawn War since they are too busy dealing with their own stuff/crap. Corellon just rolls his eyes at the 5E good drow.

(I mean, that's how I explain it anyway.)

Astral Sea, yes. Direct sailing to outer planes, yes. No phlogiston or crystal spheres? Gith and Illithids, yes. planejammer
Again, semantics. By your definition, maybe. By my definition, absolutely not. My point all along was that WotC would not smoosh Sigil and Spelljamming together in a single product, but maintain them as separate modular products. Not cosmologies, products. Also, the Gith and Illithids were always in Spelljammer.

This is a book about Spelljamming: the Blood War, Factions, intrigue in Sigil, all not present.

When a Planescape product comes along, it probably won't give much space to Elven Space Empires, Giff, Hamsters sailing, or planet of the Week adventures. Mark my words.

Until we "officially" get them into 5E, Centaurs and Autognomes can be "refluffed" into Bauriars and Modrons.

In regard to the Philogston/Space Explosive "juice," I can see it more as being like a kind of storm or obstacle that Spelljammers have to worry about crossing into while sailing the Astral Sea. You have two Spelljammers and their crews about to blast each other with Fireball spells and Bombards, only to hear "PHLOGISTON STREAM/WAVE DEAD AHEAD!!!"

Both ships get dragged in and now ya have both opposing crews having to board/send marines over to have an up close and personal fight while the Spell Casters have to worry (or not) about friendly fire since they either have to carefully choose what spells to use now to avoid the Phlogiston from negatively reacting or dealing with Heavy Fog conditions.
