Spelljammer D&D Direct Live Report: 9am PDT (5pm BST) SPELLJAMMER CONFIRMED! DRAGONLANCE!

D&D Direct, WotC's new video-format announcement show launches today at 9am PDT (5pm BST). If you aren't able to watch it, I'll be updating this article live. Feel free to comment below! People who create things tend to be rather protective and proprietary about the things they create. The situation is muddled because TSR/WotC actually owns the IP.

I can understand being defenseive... I was hopeing maybe they had an alternate work around I could try (since the players I know are ALSO unhappy with magic pick pocket stuff)

did she by chance offer her own fix to the whole "don't make a racists thing were an entire race is thieves"? I would love to see an alternate fix. Especially since some of my best friends would love to play kenders, but we can't find a way yet that doesn't make them disruptive and problmatic without also taking the traits they want to play....

In my game primal magic (by druids, shamans and rangers) doesn't need deities.

Some elves may be xenophobes, but others only aislacionists. Now in the last edition you can find good and bad people in the most of sentient species.

We shouldn't reject all the changes in a franchise but to realise when these can be good or wrong. For example the look of Harley Quinn. It would very boring if we don't allow the evolution of characters and setting.

* What about variant PC races, when any racial trait can be replaced with other? Here Pathfinder 2 hit the nail with the optional racial feats.

* I wonder about a possible actual-play show set in Dragonlance. Maybe here the kenders could be "nedlfladersed(?)".

I’m actually not so sure about “upset” more like “that’s not my Dragonlance” with a bit of incredulity mixed in.

I do think they are very sour on WotC but like with Jeff Grubb the fan factions tend to take it further than what I think is actually going on.

Yeah, that's about right. The quotes I saw from her were pretty negative, though, and didn't seem to think k much needed fixing from old times Kender.

Still no. Looking through the Spelljammer MC and anything that lists "any" as the climate/terrain can live in the phlo, there are also creatures who have the phlogiston listed as their climate/terrain...besides the undead. This is one of those fan myths that keeps perpetuating itself despite being wrong.
