D&D Direct, WotC's new video-format announcement show launches today at 9am PDT (5pm BST). If you aren't able to watch it, I'll be updating this article live. Feel free to comment below! Battles in the phlogiston may be too dangerous with the enemy throwed bombs with no-fire (alchemy or clockwork) fuses. What creatures lived within phlogiston? Could phlogiston to be collected by a high-tech civilitation as renewable source of clean energy? I guess spaceships without rocket propulsion.

Do you remember any character from comics to be redesigned for a cartoon or videogame, and then they become more popular? I wonder if female bariaurs could be redesigned as potential waifus for the browny fandom. Why not a D&D version of "my little pony" with "ha'ponies" (halfling centaurs)? I suggest the racial trait if the "longer arms".

I'm not sure how much Margaret keeps up with 5E rules terminology. Someone probably told her about it, but she didn't know the specifics. At least, that's my best guess / pure speculation.

As it stands, the only thing of interest to me is WotC explaining how putting everything in the Astral Sea/Plane doesn't lead to various pantheons simply wiping each other out. The phlo kept the crystal spheres separated and prevented gods from nuking other planets. Now that the phlo is gone, and it's all ported into the Astral Sea, a logical consequence would be a divine free-for-all.

I don't think that the phlogiston was really supposed to prevent that was it? Is that actually explained in any of the books?

I thought the reason for clerics not having divine powers in different spheres was basically just that the gods all agreed to keep their hands off of other gods' worlds so clerics got no access to spells if they were in the wrong system. Divine truce keeping them all nice-nice, with no real explanation for why chaotic gods would care. But I don't remember the phlogiston or the crystal spheres being an actual magical barrier to them actually doing god stuff in other spheres so much as a territorial marker for where their influence was supposed to end.

(I actually like the 4e cosmology of primal spirits telling the gods and primordials both to pound sand and enforcing a hands-off barrier to the world, but it doesn't fit for every setting.)

did she by chance offer her own fix to the whole "don't make a racists thing were an entire race is thieves"? I would love to see an alternate fix. Especially since some of my best friends would love to play kenders, but we can't find a way yet that doesn't make them disruptive and problmatic without also taking the traits they want to play....

I'm sure she doesn't see it as racist. That is not an objective truth, as you're implying here.

People who create things tend to be rather protective and proprietary about the things they create. The situation is muddled because TSR/WotC actually owns the IP.
