D&D 5E D&D gets a whole shelf at my FLGS

Its taken many months, 5e gets its own shelf at my FLGS, (still placed benath PF though). In terms of product placement I think this is a good sign for the brand.

Top right corner of the D&D shelf, there is a Pathfinder adventure path. Did it infiltrate successfully? Does it get sneak attack on the D&D stuff?

It was assassinated by the Pathfinder adventure path which has taken its place. Hoard of the Dragon Queen is next. It is about to get a dagger up the strap!

Actually, you are correct, they have consistently sold out their Starter Sets for the last 3 months. I do think that the Starter Box continues to be 5e's biggest seller.

What about other FLGS' what does 5e look like at your stores??

The LGS I go to occasionally has all its RPG stuff put in secondary positions to minatures games and card games. The Pathfinder shelf is much bigger, but they have 78 books so I'm not surprised.
