Doesn't he claim to be an ex-sorcerer/cultist with experience with real magic? So his stats should have a level or so of that except that he refuses to use his old evil powers.

Also wouldn't a Com1/Exp3 minus one CR for Ad hoc xp be CR 3? I thought each character level (even commoner) translated directly into a CR.

OT

Kamikaze Midget,

Hey, I took the undergraduate course at UW Madison on evolution and extinction years ago. It was a really good course.

Hey Voadam

Voadam,

You're probably thinking of Bill Schnoebelen, who writes for Chick Publications. Schnoebey's claimed to have been in just about every secret society and "evil cult" around, heh. He claims that TSR sent representatives to interview himself and his wife so that all the magic stuff could be realistic, since Bill and his wife were big time pagan magic types. Yar.

Does anyone know if "schnoe belen" has any particular meaning in another language than English?

It wouldn't surprise me if it translated into German or Swedish as "snow-blower" or some such term... :)

I don't think that he can actually practice magic, even though he did claim (IIRC) to be a cultist of some sort. Magic isn't real!

No, see DMG page 167.

Jack Chick

Has anyone read the Wheel of Time? You know who Chick reminds me of? The Whitecloaks! LOL.
But seriously, this guy has some obvious issues, which we can all attest for. I needn't elaborate any further about how confused this guy is.
But I do have a question for everyone, including the moderators...how is it they have the authority to tell what can and cannot be said (aside from profane language)? We have the right to say whatever we please, save for promising bodily harm to someone. So, did I somehow miss some part of the registration that said "sign here to waive your 1st Amendment rights?"
I'm not saying this to be an ass or anything, I'm just genuinely confused as to how this works

CRG,

I don't think he really does supernatural magic either.:)

Skarp,

could be, the first I came across chick stuff was from the link that posted here a few weeks ago. The TSR research claims were in the chick web page publication article that I read. I didn't check to see who the author of the article was, I just assumed it was chick.
