Mythic Odysseys of Theros may have been delayed until the end of July for most of us, but Fantasy Grounds has revealed some (undoubtedly specially approved) previews for us to look at in the meantime!
Miniature Market always sells their DND pre orders/books for 39.99. I reccommend them and they even give the same price to the alternate cover too!Wow... the price fluctuates quite a bit on Amazon. I pre-ordered on March 6th, and it was $29.97. Keep an eye on it, 'cause it'll likely drop again.

Well, as like 90% of Greek heroes ended up screwed by fate, the gods, or others in the end, that's probably for the best if you want to avoid a tragic or at best downer campaign. The Greeks sure loved their hubris/nemesis tales...
Honestly though, it looks like that conversion to a more literal Greek mythology setting would take little more that adjusting names and a few details...
I mean heck, just change the names to the Greek Dieties. I do the same thing with the Mega-Coporations from Cyberpunk 2020 when I'm playing Carbon 2185.I always do find it funny how many people chanted for brand new D&D settings and not just old recycled classic settings from 2e only to see Ravnica and Theros and quickly amend their statement with "... but not that!"
The neat thing is this serves both needs.
I mean, if it was 110% classic Greek myths there's no new lore. Because we all know Greek mythology. It's just stats for existing stuff. A deity write-up on Zeus when we all already know Zeus.
But this way we get new lore and new stuff and can easily take the monsters and mechanics and details from this and slap it overtop our existing Greek mythology books.
Or do a Greek adjacent game that plays fast and loose with Mythology. Like Xena...
I don't want a more literal Greek mythology setting. So it would really take no more than adjusting names (in theory).Honestly though, it looks like that conversion to a more literal Greek mythology setting would take little more that adjusting names and a few details...
It certainly would be very thematic; looks like a reasonable guess. So, there's a single new Background. This makes sense, since the standard Backgrounds probably cover the bases for most Hellenistic myth. What do we think think the new one might be? Personally, I think a straight-up Demigod background would be near
Hopefully the success of these products means that Wyatt can return to the good graces of WotC when it comes to D&D.Wyatt did a masterful job translating Ravnica strictly into D&D terms. This book will probably fit your needs.
