This is poll number three to answer questions I am simply curious about.

Let me preface this one: The last thing I want is to stir an edition war, errrr discussion. Lloth knows there are plenty of those avaialable. In fact I'd be content if there were no posts in here at all - just poll answers.

Simply: "I have, in the past 5 years played or run a consistent campaign (several levels of play at least) in the following game system:"

1) 3.x only
2) 4E only
3) Both

I have played both but not played 3e since 4e came out. Now I have no objection to playing 3e, I just won't run it, however, no one I know will DM 3e.
Not sure where this leaves your poll. I do suspect that many people are in a similar position. As well as those that are willing to play both.

I've run 3.5e extensively. I've run exactly 2 sessions of 4e.

I don't recall playing 3e in the past 5 years, and certainly haven't to any great extent. However I have played (and continue to play) 4e.

Over the next year or two, I'm going to attempt to put together my own homebrew D&D variant. In the interim, I expect to run more 3.5e, and to play more 4e. I won't be running any 4e or Pathfinder, as neither is really the game for me. And I'm not expecting 5e to be released soon; obviously, if it is and if it rocks, then that may change everything!

My group gave 4e a fair shake with an eight month run. Aside from that, both my groups are solidly 3.5.

I have zero intention of playing or running 4e again.

I played 3.5 up to the beta release of Pathfinder and then switched over. Even though I own both the English and Chinese versions of the D&D rulebooks for 4e, I haven't played a single game as of yet. My game of choice nowadays is Pathfinder.
