D20 Jedi Guardian in D&D

Bardic Music affects all allies... and it definitely affects the bard.

I'm not arguing with you. I would certainly allow White Raven Tactics to be used on one's self in my games. I'm just noting that there is some debate over whether it is actually allowed.

At 9th level, without using any other jedi abilities, feats, skills, the 9th level jedil in my game, has a 25 AC base, and dual wields lightsabres at +15/+10 and +15, all of which do 4d8 each hit. He can throw in all of his combat oriented force skills.

Hm. Thinking about it... a Fighter/Wizard could easily have an AC of 25 base (14 Dex + Mage Armor + Alter Self (Troglodyte) gets AC 22, before equipment). Greater Mighty Whallop will cause a blunt weapon to deal damage as if it were two size categories larger; for a heavy flail, that's 3d8 damge. Wraithstrike (a second level spell) allows all attacks in one round to be treated as touch attacks. Attack bonus, if a Fighter1/Wizard4/Abjuant Champion4 would be BAB +6/+1, with say +5 from strength, +2 from Greater Magic Weapon, and perhaps a +2 from misc sources such as buffs, abilities, or feats to get a +15/+10 total. There's no extra attack, you can power attack with a 2 handed blunt weapon and gain *1.5 strength mod to damage,. So, two attacks at 3d8+2+7 each come out to an average of 45 damage. Three attacks at 4d8 each come out to 54 damage each.

If the gish power attacks for 2 points, he deals 53 damage on average.

Hurling things can be done with Telekinesis, stunning people can be handled by a variety of spells such as Hold Person... you could probably duplicate all force powers with D&D spells.

As I said in the first post, probably not worse for balance than a well build gish.

And how many rounds did it take to get all those spells up? 3? 4? By then, more then likely I've hit you on average 3 or 4 times, up to 9 times, at 4d8 each hit. Oh you started far away, thats okay, because my first round I used jedi knight speed. Then I used move object to hurl a small stone at you, that dazes you for next round with no save.

I've seen all the spells, played along side alot of powerful builds, and to date, nothing compares to the jedi guardian class in strength.

OK I am convinced - I took a look at the build and I have a question (which will probably demonstrate a basic lack of understanding of where you are going) - why the ranks in Concentration?

So you're hitting the gish while he's buffing at home?

I ask because Mage Armor, Greater Magic Weapon, and Greater Mighty Whallop last hours/level, and Alter Self and Heroism (which grants +2 to attack, saves, and skill checks) lasts 10 minutes/level, which is 80 minutes if unextended and 160 when extended, ie, several hours.

Let's see... the word Celerity comes to mind, as does Abrupt Jaunt.

If we're talking about who can screw over the other the most, I'm pretty sure the wizard would win. I just have this odd hunch.

I suppose I'll just have to take your word for it but I really don't have the hard data that would be convincing.

Concentration is used by the Warblade for Diamond Mind maneuvers.
