OCC: Correct - as you would not be 5th level if we were using any other. Also since pbp is slow there will be bonus XP every 4-6 months. Kind of RP/participation XP

Iago, Nurkaz, and Fëanáro search the old dining hall, while Caramir and Jadinir stand watch near the doors on the western wall.

The searching goes on from several minutes and they trio is almost done when Iago spots something inside the fireplace in the northern wall. Moving towards the shiny silver blue metal half buried in debris he starts to call the others over when he stops short.

The fireplace is falling apart in places and gaping wholes litter it like swiss cheese. They help the gnome to hear the tiny clittering steps of the vermin within.

Backing away quickly Iago shouts a warning as small scorpions pour forth from the fireplace. "Look out! It's the kiddies!"

[sblock=OOC] Broke the monsters down into two groups. 1 & 2 (INIT=19), 3 & 4 (INIT=5). Please roll init and post your action if you beat the 19 INIT.

Caramir casts Flare on the juvenile scorpion nearest to him and then rushes to smash the dazzled creature. (Young Scorpion's save DC 13.)

[OOC: Just a comment - I don't intend for Caramir to do more than just cast the Flare spell this round. The part about 'smashing' will follow next, as soon as he is able. ;) ]
