I voted against the d12. They never stop going when you roll them. (Falling off tables, rolling under couches, etc.)

I voted against the d4. They don't roll as much as just sorta land

They do however make fine caltrops so I'll keep them after they've been retired in case I have to make a clean getaway when I pull something really rat bastardly and my players come after me.

I voted d4. they're just so... unclean. Plus, as a bonus, if they go out then all mages get more HP's!

Personally I never use any of the 1/2 dice, with the exception of d6... cause there are so friggin many d6.

That's righ, I use 1/2 of d8 to simulate d4, and 1/2 of d20 to simulate d10. Even on % rolls.


Edit: SPeaking of % rolls, what about the d100? I've seen 'em, I know they exist.

Thats why its great being a teaching you can buy d20. d8 and d100s with impunity and just smile and say they're for the students

I've OWNED one. And if any die ever deserved to be voted off the island, it's that one. The sodding thing was virtually spherical, HUGE (almost tennis-ball size), and tended to not stop rolling. Worse, when it did finally stop, even with a magnifying glass you couldn't tell what number it had stopped on half the time.

It was really only good for throwing at problem players, and its tendancy to break open and spill its little counterweight pellet fillings all over the place made it near useless even for that.

It was kind of a fun conversation piece, though.


Addendum: Now, how about d5s? I saw an ad for them once....
