DISH no longer carring VIACOM owned channels.

Personally I'll barely notice the drop. I get CBS from an antenna (yes, really, they still exist) and the other Viacom channels don't do all that much for me. I'll miss South Park, but that's about it. Most of their channels are already winnowed out of my custom listing.

I do hope that Dish compensates with a few extra channels maybe (mmm, Discovery Wings, mmmm)

Lucky me, my CBS is local owned and still available, same for my UPN, which is also my WB. As for the others, I will miss the Daily Show on the Comedy Channel but the others did not watch.

Well Dish is what I have and I really don't care to much about the loss as most of the channels I didn't watch anyways. I would ocassionally try to catch a South Park on Comedy Central but when I would it always be one I saw before. (The one where they TPed a house and everyone but Cartman was going to confess but Cartman confessed before they did and got less of a punishment.)

I hope they stick it out rather than giving in.
The VIACOM channels are not worth a rate increase to me.

Well it's all been sorted out and Dish has VIACOM channels back on the air.

Good thing I decided to read this thread. I had already removed the channels from my custom listing, and I wouldn't have noticed their return.
