Divine Power & Righteous Might Supersize Me

Yeah, the combo rocks. Had a small gnome bbn1/cleric who used it... though I think he managed just once to use both spells, usually he picked one, raged and charged into the fray... short battles we had.

You havn't seen a really buffed up wizard with Draconic Polymorph (Wartroll or 12-headed Hydra), among other buff spells, Wraithstrike (a bit tricky to use in Hydra-form), Arcane Strike, and Power Attack, if you are still worried about clerics and Divine Power + Righteous Might. :p

The Juggernaut Combo

Yeah, he's big & bad.

Try having a slient image of the BBEG and keep him moving around for a little while. When he finally splats him, it goes poof! This also works on warmages who gear up the "orb of doom" for 250 points of damage-you splatter the heck out of that slient image...Ian.

*had a combo using core and Scarred Lands spells* but it's been so long i'd have to check my notes to compare it to today's spell combos.

Yeah, but the Wizard of Doom relies on spells from additional books (which may not be allowed), access to polymorph forms (which may not be available, particularly if the dm runs on an must-have-encountered basis), and requires the investiture of feats. CoDzilla is free and its core.

*me never understood why people accept Core is the best* Cause I think of other stuff that's better and much better than core spells. :p

It's a nasty combo. I do think the duration/casting time limits them a little in normal play. Often seen self buffing clerics sit out the first 2 or 3 rounds of combat, only to join in when the fights half over? Figure if you can pick the exact round the fight starts, it'd help...

It gets so much worse if allowed near the complete divine - Divine metamagic(Quicken or Persistant), possibly coupled with Divine Spell Power to give some more dispel resistance. Silly if a bit turning attempt intensive.

Personally, I think Divine Power could do with scaling on the strength bonus. I'd make it something like:

7-12th: +2
13th-17th: +4
18+: +6

Keep it inline/slightly behind when I'd 'expect' a fighter to have that much bonus from gloves/belts of strength.

However, I'm too lazy to bother and self buffing clerics went out of fashion in my group. :)

Depends on your definition of better, I guess. What's the one you're using here?
