D&D 5E (2024) DM Special CR2?

So here's the relevant info on some critters i used yesterday. Green Dragonspawn archers adapted from 3.6.

18 dexterity
+6 to hit
Shortbows 1d6+4 damage two attacks.
AC 15
Hp 41

Mostly fine so far. I gave them the following abilities however.

Hunters mark 2/day
Vex weapon property.

I used them as fodder in a lvl 12 game. However i was rolling like a fiend. Multiple crits a d a rolled 6,6,6,5 on the 4 dice with se eral other high rolls as well.

They're probably fine at CR 1 16 dex, no abilities and less HP.

I may have overturned them.

Thoughts? They got cleared out easy enough but for glass cannons they did a lot of damage on the way out as I spread them out.

Yes, overpowered for CR2.

An CR2 ogre also has +6 to hit.
But deals deals 2d8+4 = 13
Or 2d6+4 ranged = 11
You're dealing (1d6+4+1d6)*2 = 22

So I would remove the multi-attack.

Also Vex would be annoying to track IMO, so I'd drop that too. Possibly make it a longbow with Slow instead. Which would maks the fight more interesting IMO.

Maybe heavy crossbow with Push. Though possibly drop Hunter's Mark, and add traps and such. Or a druid with Spiked Growth.

Seems more CR 3.

I used shortbows as the race was small.
