Do number of posts matter to you?

Does the number of posts a poster has matter to you for credibility?

Do the number of posts a poster has matter to you? Does it influence how you view that poster? If they have over 1,000 posts, do you take them more seriously than others with fewer posts?

Special note: This post is in honor of my one thousandth post, yeah me :) ;)

Does that make me a God visting mere mortals or a blow hard that just likes to hear himself speak? :D :p

You are not a god yet!! 1,000 post is just second level!! :p

And to answer the question of the thread post count is the most important thing in this or any other world.

I'm looking for a reason why you might think that, but I can't find one.

Hard to disagree with a 45th level poster :D :p

That is too funny, you guys answered before I even finished making the poll up.

Post count only makes a difference to me when I come across someone with a really low post count, maybe less than 100, who just joined EN World in the past month or so and is being really snarky or has a bad attitude. In those cases I ignore their posts in the hopes that they will not find their fun here and will go someplace else to annoy people.

If Crothian says it, it must be true.

My filters screen out posts by people under 1,000. (You have to pay extra for this, but it's worth it.)

Of course it counts! Only true measure of merit. In the olden days, the one with the most posts would always rule. Spamming was punishable by death. Crimes would result in posts deleted. ;) :p

Oh, and 1000 is nothing, just a start. 2000 is the limit (now, and will be until just before you reach 2000 posts of course. :p )

It does carry some weight - someone with 3 posts asking funny questions might be a troll someone created to troll. If it's a guy with 2005 posts asking funny questions, he's probably a troll veteran ;)

Seriously: Quality wins over quantity any day of the week.
