Doom of the Savage Kings

OOC: Dunno. Your halfling found and grabbed it when we nearly got eaten by the ghoul in the crawlspace, but I have no memory of where it went next. The only thing I feel reasonably sure of is that neither Lizt nor Gratien have it.

OOC: I beg to differ

Homer:
The halfling hands the spear to Lizzt with a smile, "I thingk this is better off in your hands then mine!"

Franko:
The jester looks at homer while he hands off the spear. He walks up to homer, pokes him twice. Homer, looking a bit annoyed pokes Franko twice back. Franko grabs Homer in a bear hug and says, He lives!!" with child like joy in his voice.

"Wheeeeee!" his voice echos in the chambers.

Poor homer responds with an 'oof' as air is forced out of his lungs, has hands and feet in the air in 4 different directions.

Hank:
does a double face palm.

here is who has the spear of de infinity, I think

OOC: I just reviewed the relevant section of the IC re: the spear. Since I never outright said Lizt didn't take the spear when Homer declared he passed it to her, the reasonable thing is to conclude she either had it and passed it on to Tender, Kurl, or Alois, or that she kept it. Several times people said they passed an item to Lizt, but failed to wait for a response from me, or failed to realize she can't carry all the loot by herself. My apology for not speaking up in a more timely manner. I remember thinking "WTF, people, I can't carry that," but it seems I never voiced my objection.

TLDR: Lizt has the spear. GlassEye, can she please use it in lieu of her short sword for the attack roll I just made?

GM: Sure, if that's what you want to do. FYI, non-proficiency with a weapon means you decrease the die type for that attack. So, for anyone except Gratien or Tender (the only two proficient with spear) an attack with a spear will be with a d16.

As I told Scott privately, it is up to you all to decide who is using what gear. If you want to change things around, get gear situated, I won't hold you to what has (or hasn't) happened in the narrative. You can redistribute if you want then we can resume. Or we can just move on from here.

OOC: Thanks. I'll kick start us off with Gratien making a spear attack using the numbers I rolled above. If he fails to hit, I will have him roleplay handing off the spear to Tender.

Regarding the helmet and cape that Alois had, those are up for grabs. Neither Lizt nor Gratien want them. I think they let you rage. Or something. If someone wants them, say the word and they're yours; you could retcon yourself accepting them from Alois's dead body.

Sorry, Scott DeWar, I snapped at you earlier; that was uncalled for. I was just being grouchy, and I apologize. That was no way for me to treat a longtime dear friend like you.

The spear! I have the spear! Lizt shook cobwebs from her head, and remembered the spear handed to her by Homer. Quickly, she grabbed the spear from where it was strapped to her back, and threw it to Gratien, who caught it. The Elf dropped his bow and chucked the spear at the Hound.

OOC: that was a snap? It felt morre like a poke or a tickle or even a hug. no snap felt there at all

Lizt unstraps the spear and tosses it to Gratien. Gratien deftly snatches the spear from the air and brings the point around in an attack but the point only lightly scores the demon hound's hide.

GM: DT, Scott, your PCs are up!

[sblock=OOC]FYI: Spear of Hirot; +1 to hit, damage, & initiative. On a hit, the wielder can use the crossbars to pin a creature and reduce its AC by the wielder's STR bonus. Sacrifice action & make a contested strength check to maintain pin. Pinning affects magical and prevents gaseous form, teleporting, etc.

Homer 8/8 hp
Hank 5/5 hp
Franko

Gratien 6/6 hp
Lizt AC 14, 4/4

Boral
Kurl
Tender 13/13 hp

Demon Hound AC 15 20/20 hp[/sblock]

Hank looks about wondering what to do. He shakes his head and casts his standby spell summon badger
[roll0]
summon (1) 2 hd badger located behind the hound
Franko watches hand and asks,"are ya gunna call another friend?" He watches and gets ready to do a bit of mischief, to enlarge it!
but in his enthusiasm he fouls up on the hand gestures.
