Dragon article -- Class Acts: Wizards

Very nice. Admittedly, I am a greedy guts, and kinda wanted to see more of them, especially paragon and epic tier ones! But still, this is a great starting point! And some are easy to expand upwards (like making a Phantasmal Killer line, based on the heroic tier version), which I quite like.

Plus, this fits in with my idea of making Illusionists, for PCs, a Paragon path, not necessarily a separate class. Same with PC Necromancers, for my thinking. Looking forward to seeing more of what they do with this!

Very nice. Thanks!

No, not just you. Looks like they're trying to earn my money... and succeeding.

It is not just you. While still not up to the bar set by Paizo when they were publishing it, it is getting much better of late, and seriously tempting me to give them money for the stand alone issues (I will not subscribe to DDI, but would consider giving them cash for the individual magazines).

The Dragon articles this issue are quite good, though I am not a fan of the Landscape format, and hopefully it continues to be as well written.

I like illusionary wall a lot, especially since it adds another per encounter utility spell into the wizards list. With almost all of his utility powers being daily, the wizard felt really limiting in that regard. Sure the per encounter abilities are usually weaker, but at least you can use them a lot.

Also, the Insight skill is explicitly includes 'seeing through illusions' as part of its schtick now. Some of these illusion things ought to involve insight in one way or another (illusory wall at least, for instance).

Phantasmal Terrain probably ought to have the Zone keyword and either a Sustain: Minor or "zone lasts until the end of the encounter or 5 rounds"
