I could totally imagine that a number of Magical Items, being used by the Knights of Solamnia in Dragonlance 5E, being totally jacked from dead Draconians and what not.

The inverse is true, with Dragonlances being labeled as high priority threats to be procured/confiscated on the spot by the Dragon Armies.
