Glyfair said:However, they can be males. In fact, given the fact that the changeling prostitutes are among the most popular ("Who do you want me to be, sweetheart?"), that female prostitute might be a male changeling.

Of course, the other slightly more accurate and scientific way of looking at the difference between those two words is that all babies in the womb are female by default, and that males are just the ones who, due to the influence of testosterone, were born deformed and lacking all their correct parts - and thus, lacking the (much superior) "fe" prefix off of their descriptions!Merkuri said:"female" is just "male" with a prefix, as if females were just a different type of male) <snip> I'm aware we come from a long history of sexism and I believe we won't really start pulling away from that until we all become aware of it.
Maybe I misread the intended tone, but I heard an intense irony here, and got a little chuckle out of this. Especially with the use of an imaginary curse word most prominently used, at least in my memory, by female characters Kara Thrace and Veronica Mars.the black knight said:No Sexism? Yes, I will, too. Good grief, man.Asmor said:I understand if this gets modded. >_>
Merkuri said:Really? I always thought that Syberys was female. I don't remember where I got that idea, though. I also thought Khyber was male, but I wouln't be surprised if I was wrong on that count.
Hellcow said:But as for an official answer: there is no official answer. There are many variations of the myth, and they contradict each other. As described on page 326 of City of Towers (the novel), the Seren Tablets depict Siberys as masculine and Eberron and Khyber as feminine. However, page 158 of the ECS presents a different version of the story.
In my opinion, the Seren version is more common - so yes, the earth is feminine and the sky is masculine, as Twinbahamut has suggested. But the short form is that there is no wrong answer.
