OOC: As far as I can tell, they haven't done *anything* on this website, let alone post here.

Arthur idly juggles a dagger (and almost drops it) until the Earth starts spinning again.

Hm, still nothing! Hope everything's okay with them. I've sent emails to them both. Let's give it another day, and then we can discuss where to go from here.

PS: Hi Scott =P

Alright, we're down 3 PCs. I don't like NPCing PCs, and this is an extreme situation: it's just too much work for me to play 90% of the combat participants.

I propose we send Kalli, Kaleva, and Petra back to the tavern on some pretext. Karl is still waiting to be written out of Warden. Let's pretend like I wrote an elegant ending, and Karl is on his way back to the tavern when he is overtaken by the running trio, who send him to the cab as a replacement pie bearer. I further propose that we hand-wave the hand-off of escort duty, as I don't have a good reason for why they would trust a random stranger, nor why the random stranger would be willing to escort a random pie. Arthur and Karl can continue solo through the last encounter and (gods willing) the pie presentation.

Then we'll regroup in general discussion. If LEW is to continue, we'll need more people than just the folks left in this thread.

I have an idea. Let's say that our dialogue exchange with the wizard never happened. The wizard from earlier fooled us with a fake pie and got us chasing after him. Why? To later come back and grab the pie for himself disguised as Edwyd after hiding from us.

However, the carriage driver wasn't fooled and called out to us as we started the chase. Arthur was the only one who heard him in the confusion (He has points in Listen) and stopped running, wondering what was wrong with the driver.

However, the rest of the group didn't notice right away that Arthur wasn't with them. Then they noticed Karl and asked him to relay a message to Arthur that they would keep chasing the wizard. Karl arrives at the scene and (Assuming the DM accepts this?) the carriage driver recognizes Karl to a certain extent and can testify to his reliability as a pie bearer, should Karl be interested in joining the escort duty.

Would that work?

He (Karl) would probably be walking with that cantankerous old nag of a mule named itchy. that would be a good spotter as to who he might be.
