Enchanting arrows.

Is it possible to enchant arrows (not the bow) with elemental damage like frost?

The situation is that we created a level 20 party to try epic levels and someone built an archer with an +10 equivalent bow. Now he also enchanted arrows with holy and frost to make even more damage.

Is this possible?

Read the description of a "Brilliant Energy" weapon.

"A brilliant energy weapon has its significant portion - such as its blade, axe head or arrowhead - ..."

So at least Brilliant Energy can be placed in an arrow... which argues that any of the Ranged Special Abilities (except Returning or Speed) can as well...

The problem is, I´m not the DM, so I must first give him some hints about wind wall and protection from arrows.

He does about 25+elemental damage per arrow and has 6 attacks. (Rapid Shot + speed bow). A bit high compared to our other figthers. (But its all theoretical because today is our first game and we did only some arena battles against each others without the fighters. He against our "Caster Attribute 34 Cleric and Wizard")

But when you look on the spell DCs of this guys, its good to have some effective non-mage in the group.

I should also give the DM some hints about spell turning. That´s the problem when you can´t make the saves of your own spells.


It seems to me that when you create level 20 characters, a bit of minmaxing is a must.

A +10 bow and +8 arrows.

He still doesn´t recognize the usefullnes of an cleric who can cast greater magic weapon.

Every shoot costs him 2567 gp if he hits. But that should be no problem with an attack of about +30

His primary attack should be up around +60...!
