There's that too. But then this isn't the first time Enterprise has done this, eg Trip's sister, Trip's MACO girlfriend, etc.
Actually, the whole episode seemed too contrived, but I suppose how else could they have written it? It sure seemed like they kind of wrote themselves into a corner with very little wiggle room.
That and they're trying to end it before season's end because there's all those cancellation rumors.
But then the endings to cliffhanger episodes in Star Trek always seem contrived, so I was prepared for an episode that would completely suck. This one sucked, but not as badly as I thought it would.
The ship sure took a beating and I have no idea how they intend to take on the superweapon in their current state.
Likely some silly diplomacy that would never work in reality, or Daniels ex Machina (I'm proud of that little phrase
