Manny Coto's a good egg. The new direction--that is, making the series an actual prequel to Star Trek rather than an alternate timeline--is what many fans were hoping for in the first place...me included.

There's talk of episodes dealing with the formation of the Vulcan society as it exists in the OS, as well as the Eugenics Wars. Looking forward to it.

The better question; When does it end? ;)

I just hope the new ((direstion)) helps but I don't know anymore.
HOE, I got scare on the first line:confused: , then reading the rest...I hope it was in jest.

But yeah...let's hope for a new die-wreck-shion...yeah;)

First they need to clean up the first 3 seasons with some valid explinations to fit them into the existing timeline before they can "reset" the show and start making it an actual prequal series.

Hey, good news for once. The third season is just starting in Aus and up until this thread I had heard nothing that was not distressing about the show's direction. And now I shall abandon this thread before anything more detailed is posted. Spoilers are one of my two nemesises.

And that wil be a good thing. I mean they were doing the prequel bit there in the first two seasons, but the quality started falling off. And then there was this whole Xindi storyline this past season which I didn't really care for. I mean the episodes themselves were alright, but the overall story didn't work for me (hard time believing Earth is really in danger), and the fact that B&B I think were just trying to hide the fact that that didn't really have ideas.

Now if this gets into real prequel territory, seeing lots of stuff with Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, Orions, and so on, increasing problems with the Romulans, then I'll probably be more interested.
