Ironically, I think the only web comic I've read that managed a very regular release schedule was the one that calls itself "irregular".
Both Sluggy Freelance and Shlock Mercenary have come out on each and every day. And Shlock hasn't even used any fillers (at least I don't remember any). And Sluggy's fillers are often better than regular strips on other comics.

I read it...but Order of the Stick definitely gives it a coat tail effect. I don't know if I would bother if it wasn't on the same host. Parson is just too obnoxious a main character to draw me back every week if it wasn't convenient, and his situation is so ridiculous that even HE can't take it seriously, so why should we?

Partially Clips, the artist's other comic, does draw me back. It is frequently clever and sometimes funny.

I love Shlock, but I discovered it late & haven't caught up yet. (^_^)

Seriously, though, as disappointing as it is when there isn't a new comic, I can't really complain. The entertainment I've gotten from web comics has been well worth the price.

Or maybe The Princess Bride: "Wove, twue wove..."

Though something tells me Rob will avoid such.

What gives you that impression? I mean he's already got a Charlie's Angels, Bat 21, WoW, and jonathan coulton references in there (and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head). I could easily see a princess bride reference.

Actually, we've already had a princess bride reference ("Inconceivible", "Stop Saying That!")

And how could an audience of gamers *possibly* be expected to get a WoW reference??

Because the actual WoW reference showed up 22 episodes earlier, when Stanley introduces Parson to his warlords...

"Lord Manpower the Temporary, Lady Phat-Singh, Archduke Ferdinand, Sir Leeroy Jenkins and Ensign Toast."

I'd never played WoW ever. But, curiosity incited me to search Wikipedia, where I quickly found this.
