D&D 5E Explain to a guy who's never played spellcasters the difference between wizards and sorcerers

Curious, do you just mean by casting Wish to actually turn them into the Dragon? Cause it can't replicate the 9th level spell Shapechange or anything. And then you have to worry about weird DM fiat or never being able to cast the spell again (possibly).
Well, it's more a pathway thing really - with the thematic Wish completing the 'journey' in a narrative sense. If you look at other Transmutation spells along the way - especially things like Polymorph - you can actually adopt many Dragon like traits through spells (and Metamagic too) along the way as the rise through Levels. As an ongoing story/background you could say that the Sorcerer (who may or may not be Dragonborn to begin with) is questing to become a Dragon. The final use of Wish is DM fiat, but what great way to end a story!
