Favorite Movie Entrance

This idea "yoinked" from The Mirrorball Man...

What's the coolest entrance you've ever seen a character make in a movie?

For example, Captain Jack Sparrow sailing in on his sinking ship...

One of my favorites is Jack Slater (AH-nuld) walking across the squad cars in Last Action Hero. Great cheese-ball entrance.

I love that movie...

Jack Sparrow's entrance is great.

Another good one is Indiana Jones. I love that whole first scene.

But really...the best one, despite the problems some people have with the movie(lets not have this thread degrade into an argument about it either!), is Yoda's entrance before fighting Dooku in AotC. :)

Darth Vader.

Smoke, death, flashing blaster bolts everywhere, speed, white & grey corridor, white & black stormtroopers, more smoke...

...then the breathing begins...

And through the hole crouches and slowly emerges Mr. All Black, Mr. Heavy Breather, The Biggest And Baddest dude around.

THAT is an entrance! :)

Darth Mauls entrance...not his first entrance but the one with the double lightsabre. It had the perfect music and was just darn cool.

But Vaders will always be one of the best.

I would agree, but when I saw it on film I had already seen the whole, double lightsaber thing about 139 times in commercials, thus totally draining the "whoa did you see that, this guy is badass!" feeling I would have had during the scene. If we hadn't seen the double lightsaber deal then I would have been blown away.

I'm going to step back a few minutes from Vader's entrance, and point to the Star Destroyer. It might not be a speaking part, but it's a damned cool entrance :)

Arnold has a few. The "look at my muscles" tree-trunk opening to Commando. The Terminator's time-travelling appearance in The Terminator. The aforementioned Last Action Hero. And the "look who's playing Conan" reveal in the Wheel of Pain sequence at the start of Conan the Barbarian.

Stallone's entrance in Cobra. The rest of the movie might be awful, but his entrance is cool.

I can't remember - is the first thing we see of Stallone in Demolition Man when he bungee-jumps out out the helicopter?

And speaking of bungee-jumps, of course, gives us James Bond's swan dive off the dam in Goldeneye.

Connery's appearance at the end of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves has style.

And, of course, more acclamation for Captain Jack Sparrow :D

My favorite Movie Entrances:

-Trinity's entrance in the opening scene of the first Matrix movie.

-Aragorn's return to the Hall of Theoden after they'd given him up for dead in The Two Towers.

One that wasn't in a movie:
-Buffy Season Six, Giles' entrance at the end of the second to last episode:

Willow: No one can stop me!
*ZAP!*
Giles: I'd like to test that theory.

I was going to mention that one, but he has a speaking part for about 30 seconds before the jump (he's talking to "young" Zach Lamb) so it's not technically an "entrance." Still cool as heck to watch the rappel/slaughter/cut loose scene, though. :)

True. In the day and age before spoiler web sites, this secret actually caught me off guard when they sprung it.

Right. I had a feeling there might have been something like that.

How 'bout Michael Keaton's Batman in Batman?
