For those who run in the Scarred Lands what is your favorite area to adventure

Why not just post it both ways, we all seem to have the same books, that way we can use it "as Created" until we can manage to get enough info and interest to come out with a dedicated SL book

Mainly because I don't have the books you all have (that being all the Quint books. I only have fighter). But I guess no harm no foul. In any case, you do it your way, I'll do it mine. :)

my arn't we feeling a bit testy this morning?

My point was to post this stuff in an open forum using whatever you have at your disposal (thus keeping a unique flavor) as well as listing an alturnate version that can if/when the time cimes actually be published under the open gaming liscense. All the open gaming stuff is great, that's just not ALL that some of us use
that's all. This works both ways, and gives all of us some fresh ideas.:D So keep those posts comming in.

Nightfall - do you have a lot of "SL" stuff that you have come up with or are you trying to flush it out "as needed"?

I'm working on the 1st town that my PC's came to. It's called Cole's Crossing. It's very similar to what you posted. The major differences being it's history (which is based on a true story my grandmother used to tell about a fishing trip - caused my players to lol), and the fact that I have a unit of troops based there with only about 1/2 of the militia you posted for yours. I'm still working out the goverment and prominant NPC's but I'll post it when it's done.

I don't mean to be testy San. Honestly. I guess I'm just sort of set in my ways. (Sages are like that. :) ) I come up stuff as needed. Mainly I just get an idea and roll with it. I'm glad though you were able to use the town I created even altered. I'm glad it worked out for you. In any case I'll see what else I can come up for you.

I'm glad you saw that I was being sarcastic - You have been very helpfull. What area/state do you run your game from?

Hollowfaust. This way I got a lot of enemies in small space. Plus I have admit a certain fondness for a city that's both lawful and full of intrigue. :) Being a panthestic city state helps too, along with quality mercs in the Stygian Guard. Oh and I do like a magocracy, even if it's necromantically inclinded and said necromancers are more scientists/scholars than their Glivid Autel counterparts.

I am probably going to have to move to Shelzar soon though. One of my players is getting a little tired of the undead. ;)

(Sages don't always catch sarcasm. After all we have some immunities. ;) )

Well I admit to a bump but I have an idea for a large town...Call it Ravensfall. It's made up of largely Keltia tribespeople but also some more civilized people. Tensions are running high though because of druidic worship clashing with some of the more "high minded" clerics in the city.

Thanks Graf. Lets make this thing happen. Its a good point that you made. As I use the mongoose and traps & trechery stuff my self I have no problems seeing it in posts either and can probably work it into my game anyway. When you gat the chance I would love to see some of the stuff that you have come up with.

Yeah I'm in (for what it's worth). The trick is going to be slow and steady. Stuff like this thread is a good start.

I'll happily share but it'll be a while. My writing (as I'm sure you've ntoiced) needs a lot of editing before its fit for consumption. A pretty big chunk of it is random to the point of being bizaar.

The CCIII is also going to take up some time. I've got a pretty significant chunk of monsters haning out in my forebrain.

Its funny. I also have a stalker ranger in my game. He was the master of one of the PCs before he died.

Do we want ot keep posting to this tread or maybe take it to another forum?

scarred lands

which ever works better. I'm open for either.

nightfall -It's funny your town is kelti I have been leaning towards working somthing like that in. It sould make the wolf pack barbarian very happy.

My players are currently on their way out of the Hornsaw after being savaged in Rappan Athuk (which I placed in there hehe).
They are on their way to Vera-Tre, then Mithril and finally to Burok Torn.
They have their travel plans well mapped out :)
Its going to take them 32 days to get to Vera-Tre though...so I think itll be a while before the Dwarf sees home hehe.

Well I figured this one would be nice for any Albadian diplomats, especially since they would be able to house some in a much more rural part of the land. Not to mention few would be shocked seeing a Helliann (Albadian wise woman) running around with no top on. ;)
