Forked Thread: Scotley's Tomb of Horrors 3.5 Continued

Harrison gives Grackle a nod to what Logan says, dispite the lack of further responses, then climbs down the path of spiked death and back up the other side.

There he remains out of the way of Jillian, but ready for anything that but go 'bump in the night'

Jillian makes a methodical plodding search of the hallway as the others pluck up their courage to cross the deadly pit. About 50' beyond the pit, She notices a slight variation in the stone of the north wall. A little probing reveals a secret door, 10' beyond which is a normal door.

Opening this normal door reveals a chamber. You are entering in the western third of the south wall of a 30' x 30' room. On the western wall near the northwest corner is another door. Rotted sofas, several throne-like chairs, coffers, small tables, braziers, vases, and dented, chipped, even broken urns lie in disarray about the chamber, as if purposely tumbled and looted. Only the tapestries, featuring weed-grown rocks and greenish scenes of undersea life, seem to have escaped such rough treatment.

Graclke sniffles at the reassurances that seem to tell him he's not going to be thrown into the spiky pit. He mutters "Okays...." and shuffles off to sit down along a wall, chattering quietly with the Admiral to pass the time.

Zorn will cautiously cross the deadly spiked pit and make his way to the other side.

If a person wasn't careful, they could become stuck here forever. he notes.

Ballista lightly traverses the wall above the pit not wanting to risk damaging her boots by stepping on sharpened spikes. She keeps the rogue in sight as Jillian continues to search ahead.

Logan also keeps up with the group. To Harrison, he eventually says, "In answer to your previous question, Harrison, that word is a Gnomish word. It means you may be big and clumsy, but you really do mean well." ;)

Gnomish, eh. I guess i may need to learn anothr language some day. perhaps dwarvish. Then when I open my forge when I retire I can talk with some of the world's best armorers and weapon smiths.
