I find it funny that you seem to dismiss this character as cheesy, and with almost the same breath recommend something out of the Book of Exalted Cheese.
After opinions were asked, I said I don't like the idea of a celestial choosing the role of assassin (although here it's more of a ninja). It would be a tiefling I would have no objection to it. And I maintain that slaying people a dagger in the back, for whatever the reason, is not an act of good. As for the Hashishin (or whatever the spelling), I see them as the spiritual ancestors of Al'Quaida, so tell me of the Hashishins as evil fanatics, not celestials. And as for the Book of Exalted Cheese it's among the ones I regret the most to have bought. Nonetheless, it features a sort of "good assassin" that could fit better than the true assassin class (which requires to be evil), for a celestial. Except of course, that I had overlooked the fact that the assassin prestige class wasn't mentioned, and the character is a ninja instead...

IAnd ghost step not working well with bardic music? Hwha?
Patryn-

Well, if Sudden Strike generally relies on Ghost Step (Invisible), and Bardic Music by definition makes noise, I would think the character would have a tough time with his Move Silently check while Invisible! :)

Crothian, as much as I love your posts most of the time, I have to tell you that posts like this one really make me want to stab my own eyes out (or at least stop reading internet forums). Grammar and spelling correction stopped being funny circa 1994.

It never stopped being funny. Or did it...

duh duh DUH!!!

On a serious note, I like the concept. Bards are cool, ninjas are cool. Why isn't this cool?

Watch the movie, "Remo Williams: The adventure begins."

Or, better yet, read the extensive Destroyer novel series on which the movie was based. :)

Sadly, they seem to be mail-order only these day, and the last few I read had dropped off in quality (new author, IIRC), but the older ones were classics.
