FTR 9/Imp 2 weapon feat - How many attacks?

Lucius Foxhound

First Post
Let's say you've got a 9th level Fighter (BAB +9/+4) who fights with two weapons (off-hand weapon is light), has the ambidexterity, two-weapon fighting feats (giving him -2 to each attack) and just picked up the improved two-weapon fighting feat (extra attack with off hand weapon).

Let's assume no other bonuses (he's got 10 for all his abilities and no weapon focus or specialization) just to make it easier.

What do his full attack actions look like?

Is it: +7 (primary), +2 (primary), +7 (secondary), +7 (secondary)?

Thanks!

What CRGreathouse Said

And of course, he couldn't have 10 in *all* abilities, he has to have a 15 dex to get ambidexterity...just to nit-pick :)

DarkJester -- You nitpicker! :) Good catch.

So wait, where does the -5 penalty to the second secondary weapon attack come in? Can that penalty be negated by feats or a light weapon?

Would it be: +7/+2 (primary), +7/-3 (secondary) or

+7/+2 (primary), +7/-1 (secondary)?

Your original post asked if the numbers were +7/+2 primary and +7/+7 off-hand. The only thing you missed was the -5 to the second off-hand attack. This is described in the feat description in the PH.

The -5 penalty to the second off-hand attack is basically the same as BAB dropping by 5 per iterative attack.

Minor nitpick, iterative attacks do not have a -5 penalty, they have a bonus that has been reduced by 5. This comes in when feats or other things affect bonuses and penalties.
