General centauroid race!

This reason for this post in this thread is getting feedback on how would a centauroid race would work in any genre that has a city? The type of centauroid race I am talking about could be any half humanoid/four to eight legged type creature.

How odd would it be (in looks and abilities) to have centaur type dinosuar with top torso being humanoid with some dino features and the botton torso being the dinosaur legs?

Depends on the size and species of said dino.

Well, if the species of dino is bigger than large, such as a brachiosaur or some such, the resulting tauric creature would be a little to big to interact with other humanoids. Also, if the base dino is one with copious amounts of spines such as an Stegosaurus or Anklysaur, the resulting centaur would be to dangerous to have in a civilized setting.

On the other hand, if the base dinosaur is of large size or smaller and lacks spines, I don't see why it could not be the base for a centauric race.
