How so? (don't have the GoS book)....

OK< some spoilers here...

The sandbox framing section has a driving metaplot all about the Scarlet Brotherhood manuvering to take over the Hold of the Sea Pricnes and Keoland. The former is something that was accomplished in the Greyhawk Wars. All of the geopoliotical details are strictly pre-War.

okay, see what you mean. Yep, definitely pre-Wars....
 

I just wanted to necro this thread to mention that according to the greyhawk timeline here, the Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh takes place in the CY 570's which puts it pre-GHW. The module also puts King Skotti on the throne of Keoland, as according to Living Greyhawk, Skotti dies in 594 and is succeeded by his daughter, and Ghosts of Saltmarsh is consistent with all of that. So it's safe to say it takes place sometime in the 570's.
