[GI] A Game of Improvising IC Introduction

Serith smiles.

"Ok, I give up." He begins to rummage through a bag at his side, "I'm guessing you want this jade statue I carry in here..."

Pull out from Bag of Tricks and toss it at our new friend.

bumpity

The Bandit easily jumps out of the way for the thrown animal.

"Ah, a hero with brains, that's a change of pace... You allmost had me there, but you're gonna be just a wee bit smarter to outsmart me."

The bandit readies his crossbow to shoot at the animal that came out of the sack.

OOC: I'll resolve everything once everyone has posted their actions. 100 XP for Wippit to come up with an original (to me) way to deal with someone. I'll be very generous in awarding XP from now on, since I like my PbP games to be fast moving...

OOC: If you're waiting me to to roll the animal, it's a bat.

IC: "Look at you, ready to shoot a little flying mouse. Now really, how can we take you seriously?" Serith shakes his head.

"You know, since you realize we're adventurers, and we realize you're a bandit, all this means to us is that you're one of many encounters in our adventure. Sure, you could get off a shot at us, maybe two, and yeah, you might have 15 guys we can't see waiting to jump in and attack us, but in the end, all that's gonna happen is the trees are gonna suddenly come to life and grab ahold of you, and there where are you? Naked and alive if you're lucky, less so if my companions are needed a little excitement. So, why not disarm the crossbow and walk away before you do something you're just not ready for."

(Actions: Full defense until he attacks anyone, then charge with expertise for 1, then full attack with expertise for 2, until he relents, or I die, or something.)

OOC: Guilt Puppy, I don't mind that your charcter cannot speak, but because the players need to improvise maybe you can come up with some other way of roleplaying encounters, since fighting isn't always the right solution.

IC: "Well, I don't see anyone handing out their valuables yet, should I call for my men, or are you just waiting for some miracle to happen?

"Trust me, you don't want anything I have. Pretty worthless for the uneducated."

Serith nudges Shadow to start moving again, "Now, if you don't mind, we've dallied enough, time to be on our way."

OOC: Bluff called.

Time to kill

"I laugh at bandits like you, Prepare to die fool"

Grey will drew his whip, activate its electric powers and whip the bandit.

(To hit +12/+7 Damage 1d2+5+1d6/1d2+5+1d6)

IC: "Yhikes, Whips, a pleasure doing business with you, but unfortunatly I've got some pressing matters to attend too, a good day"

And the bandit is off, jumping into the bushes at the side and running through the dense forest.

Vopha stares off into the forest at the running bandit, then turns to his allies.

"We should travel with care. He may have friends. They may find us."

OOC: Did he attack? :) He's a warrior, not a diplomat, and while he's not about to start any combats, that's what he's going to be ready for, esp. when someone pops out of the bushes with a crossbow trained on him. He will speak to those not overtly hostile towards him, but otherwise, I have no problem sitting out of this sort of encounter (effectively) until it turns more appropriate.
