D&D 5E Great Weapon Fighter: are you enjoying it?

Well, to this date, none of my players even took the time to read it again. Right now, I'm not sure if the option is any good, to be honest. It seems to be a powerful option, but something that only comes into play when you've already missed your attack is not exciting. I believe that's the reason my players avoided it. For myself, I prefer to build my fighter/ranger thinking that his attacks will deliver when needed. What do you think?

Cheers,

I've used it in the past and i've seen it in play in a few of my games and i am okay with GWF's damage on a miss. I found its more gratifying for people who don't like to miss, especially at low level where the ability still pack some considerable punch on a miss.

Considering there has been a lot of talk about it and that Mike Mearls confirmed on twitter there would be an option out of it, i feel confident it won't be forced on anyone who don't want it in their game.
