Griveous' coughing.

I know it was not explained in SITH, but is it explined in the Clone Wars cartoons why he coughs so much? And if so, whats the reason please.

In the Clone Wars series, Mace Windu used a Force Grip-like attack to crush Grievous' actual organs. Hence the coughing.

Of course...in the Labyrinth of Evil novel(which has a completely different, and better IMO, taking of the Chancellor scene), this never happens and Grievous' coughing is not actually explained.

My friends and I were debating this all the way to my car, the way back, and the next school day.

One big fault about RoTS was, as much as I may like it, that you missed out on a hell of a lot of stuff if you didn't watch the Clone Wars shorts.

I didn't remember Windu Force Crushing Grevious, so that explains it; thanks Ankh. I took it as his immune system just being weak from a lack of protection; GG was basically just a metal shell around his vital organs.

I happily ignored the fact that he was coughing despite a lack of apparent lungs.

I read a review that complained General Grevious was coughing (apparently Sith have allergies) even though he's a robot. At least we know he's not a robot, but the allergy thing might be true.

Yes, got to agree with Labyrinth of Evil being better than the clone wars but it looks like one needs to read both, and remember only half of each to get the real back story… Which is obviously annoying. :\

Actually, Mace didn't crush Grievous' actual organs (using the Force on a living being like that, consciously, is Dark Side material "Apologies accepted, captain Needa!").

Mace thought (as all the Jedi did) that Grievous was nothing but a very powerful droid. So he proceeded to crushing Grievous' torso (silly General, thought he could take on Shaft, Jedi Knight). The very humbled Grievous started coughing then and there, and Mace would've crushed him in mere seconds if the shuttle hadn't gotten away.

Was he not a cyborg not a robot, he had a heart and eyes (possible more), being part organic and metal would not be a robot?
