How is 1pm on Saturday for everyone? I can then run my 2 Halfling Musketeers games in one long shot.

Belen: Yes, I may skip the seminar

Reveal and FickleGM: I had not planned to run this at the picnic because I can see all sorts of potential outside problems (heat, rain, wind, bugs, etc.) I am open to convincing, though, so please feel free to try!

It's outside. By Saturday you'll have been stuck inside with the unwashed masses for two whole days. What other reason do you need? ;)

Well wind or rain would most likely cause us to find an indoor area to gather. Excess heat may also alter our plans. Bugs, on the other hand, are just independently mobile minis for the games ;).

We're probably in for Saturday afternoon, however, we're probably less likely to do it if it's outside at the picnic. It's not that I abhor the idea of a picnic, but, in practice, I abhor nature, and would prefer to play in air conditioned comfort somewhere. Indianapolis is DAMNED HOT in August.

My only slot that isn't a pickup game is Friday evening, so I can definitely make Saturday afternoon, but like The Universe, I don't like hot or wet outside places, so I'd probably bail if it is at the picnic. Now give me a game outside in Boston during the early winter and that could work out. Cold is good!

As I said in the thread that I started to organize the picnic, it isn't a big deal if you aren't able to make it. I wonder if you would be willing to keep the picnic an option, if the weather happens to be mild that day. If it's in the 80's or hotter, then I can empathize with people not wanting to show up (and it will probably be a smaller gathering).

Basically, if it's going to make the players uncomfortable, then by all means schedule it indoors. I would rather have people come to the picnic because they want to, not because I'm trying to goad them :).

I could definitely understand if people other than me like it at temperatures in the mid to high 70s, and I know that most people do. I like it mid 50s though, or as close as I can get to that. As I said, early Boston winters or late falls :D I know it is not typical.

EXECUTIVE DECISION FROM THE MASTER OF DUNGEONS: ALENDA

I'm tentatively scheduling my second Halfling Musketeers game at 1pm on Saturday. It will most assuredly be inside (sorry, Fickle!) However, since the picnic starts at noon, folks will get the opportunity to enjoy a little outside time before my game if they are so inclined.

Now that my 2 Halfling sessions are scheduled, give a holler and let me know which session you'd prefer so that I can put your names in the appropriate slots.

P.S. Belen, please take plenty of notes for me at the Girl Gamers seminar!!!
