I have sodium issues, minor food allergies, diverticulitis, gout and am pre-diabetic. I also just got diagnosed with low-level cholesterol issues my MD doesn’t want to see get worse. Mom is diabetic. Dad has GIRD/acid reflux.

I’m the cook. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Thankfully, I’m a GOOD cook, so I can (and HAVE) rework recipes to be healthier, without sacrificing too much flavor, etc.

Just finished clearing the driveway. Between the two floods, the plumbing issues and the rest of the general New England-ing* Jack has done lately, Jack has now more than completed his yearly certification as a New Englander.

* New England-ing: Any extensive physical labor undertaken for the purpose of allowing one to do basic things like leave the house or wash laundry, etc.

Heh, me too! I stumbled across a couple Endless Quest books of mine just a few months ago among my parents' things. Only two books, though; several others are still long missing.

I've collected the first 18 of the TSR books, plus a couple more random later ones... (Only one of them is my original copy.)

And now my basement has flooded three times...

My attempt to seal the French doors with caulking was mostly successful - there was only about two an inch of water on the floor.

And now we're at three and a half, lol... Yes, folks, it happened again.

I got my pump started before I left for work (and thus before it started raining), so it was pumping the water out as soon as it started rising in the patio.

End result: Only a puddle in the basement, although the garage had about an inch and a half of water in it since the pipe that drains the patio connects to the drain in the garage as well.

I've got another pump on order and it should be coming sometime next week. The current one is 1/4 HP, and the new one is a full HP. If I run both of them, it should be more than sufficient to keep the patio from flooding again unless we get a freakin Biblical deluge...
