Curious. But, a little more than simple slots. What is a “story driven” slot machine?

At a guess: you buy a certain amount of credits. This becomes your hit points. A "good" fantasy avatar appears that represents you. A monster appears with a 3*3 grid that is the spinners. You decide on each"roll" how much you are risking. You hit the spin button and the avatars have little attack animations and based on your roll the hit points go down. If you get lucky you kill the monster and win more credits/hit points and can face bigger monsters with more risk more reward. If you keep playing things just keep getting bigger.

Rather insidious.

Gambling is for fools and slot machines are the worst kind of idiot lantern.

If hasbro want adult money id rather they sold D&D branded booze, bongs, and sex toys.

I find myself in a lot of casinos for work and I always remark to myself how weird it is there isn't a licensed D&D slot machine, especially since there's a thematic link between the dice used for D&D and the dice used for things like craps. I thought maybe it's because Hasbro wanted to keep the IP "family friendly" but IIRC plenty of board game IPs owned by Hasbro have slot machines and I think Transformers did for a while too

It seems that most people here are not so much against gambling itself as they are disappointed with how the D&D brand is being used.
Not sure how you came to that conclusion… If the people were in favor of gambling, I doubt they would object to D&D themed gambling. You kinda have to start opposed to it to complain about D&D joining in.
