One of the things that's odd about this is that Neon Games Studios' games look awful. They're very bad, low effort online slots.

This isn't a partnership with Converse, or Target, or boutique pinball, or premium beer. This is a partnership with Dollar General.

Here we go again. Obligatory statement about how Hasbro is an evil heartless corpo etc etc etc

Christ, walk into a Gamestop or Hot Topic. If there were Pathfinder-branded toasters, mouse pads or Carbon Monoxide detectors, no one would bat an eye.

If anyone has ever been to any casino ever they'd see franchise-branded slot machines all over the place. Maybe even about brands that they cherish and love!

Yeah it's sleazy, but that's what corporations do. It isn't hugely different than branded pinball machines, really.

It looks to be about online slot machines:

(from Neon Valley Studios homepage)
"...Evoking the buzz and glamour of the Vegas strip, the energy and raw beauty of the Mojave Desert, and the bright lights and sounds of Fremont Street, we are determined to take our inspiration and passion from the gaming capital of the world to develop highly entertaining, story-driven online slots. "
Curious. But, a little more than simple slots. What is a “story driven” slot machine?

I'm not a slots person but I talked with one of my friends who's always heading of the Vegas and plays them a ton. Apparently there are all sorts of mini-games that open up as you play a machine. They play this game based on cows being abducted by aliens and there is a whole storyline that plays out. Since everything is virtual, the screens can constantly change. For whatever that's worth.
