D&D General Hasbro enters gambling deal using Dungeons & Dragons intellectual property

When Wotc gave away the D&D IP to the OGL people they gave away a lot of money. New management moved in and said...hey....how about we make some money with the IP we own? This is that.

Blind bag minis.

LoL like I said, not a huge fan of that either. But I doubt people have had their lives ruined by those to the same scale as gambling (which is by its nature a very exploitative industry)

I think this is making mountains out of molehills.

Slot machines with licensed themes are very common. Here's an article about it: Licensed Themes in Slot Machines: Blending Pop Culture with Casino Gaming In either Las Vegas or slot game apps, you'll see machines based off of all sorts of movies or other franchises.
I doubt the target is teens but slot machines are huge money makers. I know people who regularly lost thousands of dollars they did not have to spend on slot machines

Has there been any clarity on whether this will be for actual slot machines (or is it just related to the D&D pinball machine story?)

I saw that but I still have no idea if that means it will be gambling or just something for an arcade
Neon Valley Studios “we are an independent global game studio creating innovative and fresh online gaming content that gives online players in non-US markets a modern Vegas experience.” I don’t think physical casino games is their business.
