WotC Hasbro gains big time from D&D, Magic, Monopoly, and Baldur's Gate 3

Oh, they point at revenue numbers for Beyond being in the tens of millions quarterly. They are sharing real data with real investors, but EN World always thinks WotC is lying in legally binding documents.
When did I say they were lying? Nothing I said means they couldn't have revenue of that amount and in fact it's pretty easy for them to hit the "tens of millions quarterly" without having 13 million actively engaged users of the platform.

I didn't say you were lying. There's a general attitude towards the quarterly reports that despite being in danger of getting sued by investors people respond and suggest that the data is false.

If it was significantly false they would be sued, because that's what major investors do to recoup their money.

Lies, damn lies, and statistics. ;)

I didn't claim you said I was lying. 🤷‍♂️ I'm kind of lost on what you're trying to say, because unless I'm missing something it doesn't line up with either of my comments on the subject. So to be clear my point of view is..

1. I 100% believe Hasbro that D&D Beyond has 13 million+ user accounts registered.
2. I 100% don't believe those 13 million accounts are all active users who log on with any frequency. At the same time, I'm not saying they're telling a lie and I don't believe they're violating any laws by stating the number of registered user accounts on an earnings call or in a quarterly financial report because what they're saying is likely factually correct.
3. Those 2 items considered, they absolutely would have no problem earning "tens of millions quarterly" off of even 1/3 of those registered users being active customers that subscribe and buy stuff. As @Reynard pointed out earlier is basically impossible to figure out actual numbers with how Hasbro typically combines their digital revenue from DDB and MtG:Arena while typically offering a percent for DDB's growth.

If you think they buyer might destroy your company, it might not be worth it (Microsoft has a bad history with acquisitions).
I don't know about MS re acquisitions but the reputation of big publishers running well regarded companies is not great. Hower, if one is selling one to a public quoted company that company is likely to fall prey to the usual things that destroy the creativity of studios so sell for the most money.
